Paws & Claws Stores are a medium sized pet supplies/grooming chain located in southern Ontario. For their newest location in Bradford Ontario, they decided to pursue a modern big box store type facade which called for a light coloured brick with dark blue illuminated channel letters and a dark blue acrylic face in conjunction with an illuminated white logo.

 The channel lettering consisted of blue aluminum returns with blue 3/16" acrylic faces and matching blue trim. The lettering is illuminated with CSA approved LED modules and transformers. The logo consists of a high performance vinyl graphic mounted onto a sign white acrylic face cut to the shape of the logo and also illuminated with CSA approved LED modules.

For added effect additional script was added to the bottom portion of the signage. 2" thick moulded acrylic lettering was chosen due to its increased thickness which allows for a uniform sense of depth and consistency for the signage.

In addition to the Bradford location a new store was also opened on 600 Laurelwood Dr. in Waterloo Ontario. This store is of a similar size to the Bradford location but presented a different philosophy of facade design. A large overhanging awning and low roof line lead to the use of a thin but extended version of the existing design. The landlord at this location stipulated that all signage will have to be non-illuminated.
